Hard skills:

• Hands-on experience building or scaling programmatic RTB bidders — OpenRTB standard, bid request/response flow, bid floor, win/loss mechanics;
• Proven experience with 100k+ RPS systems — bottleneck identification, latency optimization, horizontal scaling;
• Real-time auction infrastructure: low-latency architecture, in-memory data access, async processing;
• Experience with compiled / high-performance languages (Rust, C++, Go) — or strong motivation and demonstrated ability to work in such environments;
• Distributed systems: Kafka / Redis Streams, microservices, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP);
• Understanding of DSP/SSP ecosystem: auction dynamics, impression/click/conversion flow, bid optimization loop;
• English proficiency level: B2.

Soft skills:

• End-to-end ownership of platform components — from design to production;
• Architectural decision-making with explicit trade-offs;
• Accountability for system reliability and performance under scale;
• Pragmatic problem solving — simplicity over complexity.
