Lead QA Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Lead QA Engineer for a project developing a travel platform with API integrations, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliable booking processes.

The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.

The project is focused on developing a travel platform that integrates multiple supplier and aggregator APIs into a unified system. It includes end-to-end API integration, data synchronization, and optimization of booking processes to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance travel product distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, coordinating, and executing manual and automated testing across the project.
• Defining QA strategy, setting release readiness criteria, and driving continuous process improvement.
• Distributing workload across manual and automation QA engineers, organise daily standups and cross-review sessions.
• Conducting 1-on-1 meetings, identifying skill gaps, and supporting team members' professional growth.
• Communicating quality status to developers (technical details) and leadership (risks, summaries, proactive follow-ups).
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Applying AI tools for log analysis, bug report generation, and test case creation from end-to-end scenarios.
• Validating system quality in microservice-based architectures.
• Helping manual testers transition to automation (TypeScript + Playwright) and guide automation engineers on best practices.

Must-haves:

• QA Lead experience with hands-on coaching in Playwright & TypeScript from 4+ years.
• Strong manual testing (UI & API).
• Practical automation experience (TypeScript + Playwright).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to drive QA strategy and team development.
• AI testing experience (AI-powered tools + integration into QA workflows).
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• AI certificates.
