Senior Software Quality Engineer (FE Automation / Vue.js) – uContact Team

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer (Frontend Automation) in our uContact Team at net2phone, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality for our web applications. This role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated test suites for our Vue.js-based frontend, alongside manual validation of new UI features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act in quality assurance and control, including functional, regression, and usability testing of web applications.

• Analyze software requirements and develop appropriate test cases, focusing on frontend architecture, responsive design, and user workflows.

• Conduct manual testing for new software features and complex UI components before they go to production.

• Develop, maintain, and scale frontend automated test suites using JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Write and implement robust UI End-to-End (E2E) and Vue component tests.

• Test front-to-back integration by validating API contracts and responses from the frontend perspective.

• Integrate frontend automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

• Proactive participation in incident review, adjusting the frontend quality strategy depending on the causes of UI-related issues.

• Collaborating closely with Frontend Developers and Product Owners within a Scrum environment.

• Advocating for compliance with frontend quality requirements and testing best practices (e.g., testability of UI components) within the team.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on web applications.

• 5+ years of experience in Test Automation, with deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience or strong familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem (understanding components, state management, and how to test Vue applications).

• Demonstrated experience with modern frontend testing frameworks (Playwright or Cypress are highly preferred).

• Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, the DOM, CSS/HTML, and browser developer tools.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous requests, and how the frontend handles data.

• Solid experience in both manual and automated UI testing.

• Experience in developing and implementing frontend testing strategies (from Component/Integration to E2E testing).

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for running UI tests.

• Proficiency in Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Testrail.

• English language proficiency at a B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Experience with Vue-specific testing tools (like Vue Test Utils, Vitest, or Pinia/Vuex testing).

• Experience with frontend performance testing (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals) and digital accessibility testing.
