AI Engineer / LLM Engineer

Andersen is hiring an AI Engineer / LLM Engineer for a project developing AI-powered digital banking solutions and advancing cloud-native financial platforms across the MENA region.

The customer is a mobile-only digital bank offering modern financial services through an app-based experience. The organization provides features such as virtual cards, multi-currency accounts, savings tools, and goal-based financial planning, along with innovative products that support personal and group savings. Known for its user-centric approach and continuous product innovation, the bank has received industry recognition for digital excellence and customer experience.

The project is focused on developing and scaling a cloud-native digital banking platform across the MENA region. It includes performance optimization, core banking transformation, new financial product development, and cross-regional rollouts of mobile-first banking services, including savings, cards, credit products, trading, and treasury modules.

Working schedule is Sunday–Thursday, GMT+3 time zone.

Responsibilities:

• Building and deploying AI-driven applications (chat assistants, AI copilots, decision systems).
• Implementing LLM integrations, prompt design, and agent orchestration.
• Connecting AI systems with enterprise tools (APIs, CRM, core systems).
• Optimizing model performance (latency, scalability, reliability).
• Ensuring production readiness and monitoring of AI services.

Must-haves:

• Experience in AI/ML engineering at least 3 years.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI frameworks.
• Strong coding skills (Python preferred).
• Experience in banking integrations (core banking).
• Experience in API integration and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and RAG/agentic systems.
• Experience with scalable system design.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Exposure to vector databases and embeddings.
• Experience in banking integrations (CRM, API gateways).
• Knowledge of cloud-native deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
