Business Analyst

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst to support a global travel and transport payment platform. The role focuses on improving secure transactions, billing workflows, reporting, and expense management.

The customer is an international provider of financial technology solutions supporting organizations in the travel and transportation industry. Its platform offers tools for managing payments, monitoring transaction activities, and optimizing billing workflows. The company collaborates with a wide range of industry partners and integrates with established payment and merchant systems to help improve operational efficiency and financial transparency.

The project is centered on a proprietary payment technology platform designed to deliver secure transactions, centralized billing, detailed reporting, and advanced analytics. Its main goal is to reduce payment processing costs and streamline expense management for large organizations worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting, refining, and documenting technical and functional requirements for complex IT systems (backend-heavy, integration-focused environments).
• Conducting requirement elicitation via sync calls, recordings, and written communication.
• Translating developer input into clear and structured user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Collaborating with dev leads to ensure technical feasibility and clarity of backlog item
• Managing and maintaining Confluence documentation (architecture, flows, dependencies, glossary).
• Coordinating with multiple stakeholders (including demanding ones) to align priorities and clarify scope.
• Creating and maintaining flow diagrams, data mappings, and feature breakdowns where possible.
• Supporting grooming and pre-grooming sessions, follow up on action points, and ensure timely backlog readiness.
• Handling high meeting loads and tight delivery timelines while maintaining accuracy and composure.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Analyst / System Analyst in software development (ideally with backend or integration focus) for 2+ years.
• Confident understanding of software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile processes.
• Experience in writing technical user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong skills in Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and extract details from developers and stakeholders.
• Comfort with late-hour meetings (up to 21:30–22:00 CEST) due to timezone overlap.
• High stress resilience and professional boundaries – ability to stay composed in emotionally charged discussions.
• Structured thinking, logical approach to problems, and accuracy under pressure.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Technical background or prior experience as QA / Developer / System Analyst.
• Knowledge of API, databases, data models, or DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Experience working with demanding or high-stakes clients.
• Prior experience supporting multiple technical initiatives simultaneously.
